'Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho 2023' is one of the important events to strengthen cooperation between the two localities in the fields of culture and tourism.

On the evening of November 4, in Can Tho city, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province held the opening ceremony of the Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho in 2023 with the theme "Ninh Thuan - Land of Convergence of Different Values", with many attractive highlight activities.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province Nguyen Van Hoa said that the event aims to introduce, promote and honor Ninh Thuan culture and tourism to people, tourism investors, and travel businesses in Can Tho city in particular and the Mekong Delta provinces in general. The activity promises to promote linkages and cooperation in tourism development between Ninh Thuan and the key markets of Can Tho city and the Mekong Delta provinces; at the same time, diversify forms of Ninh Thuan tourism promotion, attract tourists, and contribute to the growth of the tourism industry in Ninh Thuan province.

Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho 2023 takes place from November 3-5 with many special activities such as: singing and dancing performances; introducing musical instruments and exchanges; traditional dance instruction; Bau Truc pottery art instruction, My Nghiep brocade weaving: displaying beautiful photos of tourism, culture, and scenic spots of Ninh Thuan province. In addition, the event also has 24 booths displaying and introducing OCOP products, specialty products, tourism products and cuisine of Ninh Thuan province. Visitors can witness with their own eyes the talented and skillful hands of pottery and brocade artisans demonstrating the making of traditional products.

Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien emphasized: "Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho in 2023" is one of the important events to strengthen cooperation between Ninh Thuan province and Can Tho city in the fields of culture and tourism. Ninh Thuan is a locality with many potentials and advantages. Including unique tangible and intangible cultural heritages such as: Cham cultural art with folk songs, Cham dances; traditional occupations and customs, religious rituals of the Cham people.

Typical examples include: Kate Festival, My Nghiep handmade brocade weaving, Bau Truc Cham pottery village, the oldest in Southeast Asia, Po Klong Garai tower and Hoa Lai tower recognized as special national monuments. In particular, on November 29, 2022, UNESCO officially listed "Cham pottery art on the List of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection". The event was announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as one of the 10 typical cultural, sports and tourism events in 2022.

Ninh Thuan aims to make tourism a key economic sector by 2025, striving to attract 3.5 million visitors, with revenue reaching about VND2,900 billion, contributing 13% of GRDP. By 2030, Ninh Thuan tourism will truly become a key economic sector, attracting 6 million visitors, contributing 15% of GRDP; in 2023 alone, striving to achieve the target of welcoming 2.9 million visitors.

To achieve the above goals, Ninh Thuan will focus on prioritizing the development of 3 main product groups: specific products (seaside resort tourism, Cham heritage cultural tourism, high-tech agricultural tourism, eco-tourism associated with the world biosphere reserve of Nui Chua); new products (Sand-Salt discovery and entertainment tourism, wild hunting tourism, railway experience tourism, health care tourism); supplementary products (community tourism, entertainment and culinary tourism, renewable energy production sightseeing tourism...).

In order to strongly improve the environment to attract investment in Ninh Thuan, the province has also issued many preferential policies on land, simplified administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for businesses and investors to register for investment in Ninh Thuan.
