In addition to the direct introduction and recruitment activities, the Fair is also an opportunity for Vietnamese students to learn about the culture, cuisine, working environment as well as the country and people of Japan. Through promotional booths and special cuisine, students will be familiarized and quickly adapted to the future working environment. Thereby contributing to increasing the rate of Japanese Language students having jobs after graduation to 100%, meeting the growing needs of the labor market.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Le Xuan Truong, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said that after more than 15 years of organization, the Japan Job Fair has become an active bridge between students and employers. At the same time, it supports schools with two-way information to improve the training process to be closer to reality, meeting the strict requirements of the domestic and foreign labor markets.

According to Ms. Pham Minh Tu, Deputy Head of the Japanese Language Department, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, in recent years, the cooperative relationship between Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises has been growing stronger. Enterprises in Japan tend to recruit Vietnamese workers to work in Japan, so job opportunities for students majoring in Japanese Language are very open. In fact, at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, 100% of students graduating from the Japanese Language major have jobs.

"Previously, Japanese enterprises coming to Vietnam to recruit workers often went through intermediary companies, but now these units tend to go directly to training places to directly recruit workers. This not only helps enterprises directly access quality human resources but also creates conditions for schools to listen to the actual needs of the labor market, thereby adjusting training programs accordingly," said Ms. Pham Minh Tu.

Ms. Pham Minh Tu added that because the recruitment conditions of Japanese enterprises are increasingly difficult, students not only need to have a Japanese degree but also need to have professional skills such as restaurants, hotels, translation and interpretation, and English and Korean. Students also need to understand Japanese culture to be able to work with these enterprises. From these requirements, schools need to build appropriate and quality training programs to help students who graduate from Japanese Language major in Vietnam find jobs after graduation.
