From April 27 to May 1, at the Central Circus, the Vietnam Circus Federation organized the "Three Regions Circus and Magic Gala 2024", gathering excellent artists to perform for the audience.
According to the Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, "Three Regions Circus Gala" is an annual program organized by the unit on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 every year. In 2024, the program will not only feature circus arts but also a special magic show.
From April 27 to May 1, the Vietnam Circus Federation organizes "Three-region Circus and Magic Gala 2024"
"Circus and Magic Gala of Three Regions 2024" written and directed by People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, 120 minutes long, is a blend of three regions' cultures through circus, magic and music.
The program brought the audience many rich and attractive performances. In particular, the opening performance "Colors of the homeland" with pole climbing circus, buffalo circus, pig circus, dragon dance, lotus dance... performed by artists of the Vietnam Circus Federation. Next was magic, circus "Umbrella riding", circus "Goat wedding", "Swinging", magic "Wild rose", adventurous roundabout, steel wire "Fire of love of the Central Highlands", clowning, hand standing, "Central Highlands festival"... and finally the closing performance "National festival".
Participating in the program are excellent artists of the Vietnam Circus Federation, such as: Thanh Hai, Hong Thuy, Pham Huong, Ngoc Quyet, Xuan Thang, Duy Anh, Viet Duy, Anh Vu...
This is an annual program of the organization on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 every year.
In particular, during the gala, the audience in the capital will meet artists from many localities across the country, such as: Meritorious Artist Minh Tuan (Quang Tri), magician Harry Nguyen (Khanh Hoa), magician Viet Duy (Ho Chi Minh City), artists from the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater, Vietnam Circus Experimental Theater... These are all artists who have won high awards at domestic and international circus and magic competitions and festivals.
Also on this occasion, aiming to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Vietnam Circus Federation will perform the art program "Living Forever with Dien Bien", premiering on May 4, 5, 11 and 12 at the Central Circus.
The program lasts 90 minutes, including 5 parts: Heroic Northwest, Long March, Cannon Call, Him Lam Hill and Dien Bien Liberation.
According to People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, this is one of the programs to celebrate major holidays in 2024. From the script to the staging stage, the ideas, content, and handling have been carefully prepared to create highlights in the program. With the intention of staging to create a Circus stage like a large panoramic model of the Dien Bien victory.
Also on this occasion, the Vietnam Circus Federation performed the art program "Living forever with Dien Bien"
Accordingly, the audience will interact with the 3D space with the artists playing the role of Dien Bien soldiers. From the audience's position looking down like a miniature valley, the scenes will recreate the fierce and heroic battles of Dien Bien soldiers expressed through the works: Ho keo Phao, Qua mien Tay Bac, Giai phong Dien Bien, Tren doi Him Lam, Hanh Quan xa, Chien si Dien Bien, Be Van Dan Song mai...
The program will include: Bicycle stacking, bamboo dance, acrobatics, juggling, group pole dancing, male figures, leather rope, pole climbing, flag dancing, net jumping, animal circus, group rope jumping, group springboard, tightrope balancing...
The program will recreate the images of historical heroes such as: Be Van Dan, Phan Dinh Giot... with the participation of 60 artists in many genres such as: Human circus, animal circus, along with singers, choirs, dancers...
The program contributes to educating the tradition of remembering the source of water, arousing patriotism in young artists and audiences in general.
In particular, the program will feature veterans who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, to bring special emotions, memories, and stories about this historic campaign.
Therefore, this is not only a circus art program, but also an opportunity for artists to express their hearts, feelings, and gratitude to those who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the country, and to strive to convey history through art.
At the same time, through "Living Forever with Dien Bien", the artists hope to bring to the audience a circus program that is both artistic and historical, contributing to educating the tradition of remembering the source of water, arousing patriotism in young artists and the audience in general./.
