Picked up 207 lottery tickets, 2 students returned them to the street vendor

Two students in Binh Dinh were commended for picking up 207 lottery tickets and returning them to the owner.

On February 17, Binh Duong Secondary School, Phu My District (Binh Dinh) organized a ceremony to honor and award a certificate of merit to Nguyen Che Truong (15 years old, living in Duong Lieu Dong neighborhood, 9A1 student of Binh Duong Secondary School) for picking up 207 lottery tickets and returning them to the person who dropped them.

Previously, at 9:30 p.m. on February 1, Nguyen Che Truong and his older brother Nguyen The Vu (16 years old, 10A5 class student, Phu My High School No. 2) on their way to the intersection of Xuan Dieu Street, Duong Lieu Tay Quarter, Binh Duong Town (Phu My District) picked up a set of 207 lottery tickets issued by the three provinces of Khanh Hoa, Kon Tum and Thua Thien - Hue (drawing date: February 2, 2025).

After finding it, the two children brought it to Binh Duong Police Station to find the person who dropped it and return it.

Upon receiving the information, Binh Duong Town Police conducted verification until 11 p.m. the same day and determined that the lottery tickets were lost by Mr. Hoang Xuan Cong (61 years old, in Dinh Binh village, Hoai Duc commune, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh).

Binh Duong City Police contacted and notified Mr. Cong and his wife to come and return the lottery tickets.

According to Mr. Cong, he and his wife work as street lottery ticket sellers, earning a few hundred thousand dong a day to support their family. If Truong and Vu had not found and returned the lost lottery tickets, it would have been difficult to make up for the lost tickets.

On the afternoon of February 17, Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong, Principal of Phu My High School No. 2, said that the school will also honor Nguyen The Vu (a student in class 10A5 of the school) early next week.
