Multiplying examples of learning and following Uncle Ho

Binh Thuan is honored to have 2 typical individuals honored.

1. Coming from a poor area in Tan Dien village, Phan Dien commune, Bac Binh district, ethnic minority girl Rac Lay - Hoang Thi Anh Thuc (born in 2005) overcame the poor living conditions to nurture great ambitions, overcome difficulties to pursue her passion for athletics to contribute to her homeland and country. Anh Thuc confided that because she was born into a very difficult family, her parents mainly lived by working as hired laborers. However, her parents still saved up and tried to raise 3 siblings to study. In 2015, Anh Thuc attended secondary school at Bac Binh District Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities. During her studies, she always tried to study hard and actively participated in activities launched by the school. Because of her talent for athletics, she achieved many high achievements in competitions organized by the district and province.

By 2020, although Anh Thuc wanted to continue studying and pursue her passion for athletics, she felt sorry for her elderly parents, their poor health, and the lack of family living conditions. After finishing 9th grade, she decided to drop out of school and work to help her family. However, her desire to pursue athletics continued to burn in her mind. The opportunity came in 2021, luckily she was recruited to the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province to receive, train and coach to develop her talent. From here, her journey to realize her dream began. Constantly overcoming difficulties to achieve high results, in 2022, Anh Thuc was recruited to the National Sports Training Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

“No matter what environment I study and train in, I always uphold the spirit of discipline, team spirit, constantly strive to study, overcome difficulties in the process of professional training as well as in cultural studies. Along with the help and guidance of the teachers, I have participated in competitions and achieved many high achievements in provincial, national and international athletics competitions from 2022 - 2023. Most notably, in 2022, Anh Thuc made her mark when she won the Asian U18 Gold Medal. With those achievements, in 2022, Anh Thuc was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for her outstanding achievements at the 2022 Asian Youth Athletics Championship. In 2023, she was selected to join the Vietnam Athletics Delegation (reserve) to attend the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia. Especially in November 2023, Anh Thuc was honored to be honored at the meeting of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in 2023. Keeping in mind the advice of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, in the coming time, Anh Thuc will continue to study, practice and strive to achieve even higher results in the next athletics competitions, contributing more to her homeland and country.

2. After nearly 20 years of working, the Chief of Hoa Minh Border Guard Station - Lam Dang Quang has always followed Uncle Ho's teachings with the spirit of "Serving the Fatherland and the people with all his heart and soul". He expressed his honor, pride and happiness when General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong praised and thanked him for his dedication in performing his duties.

After nearly 20 years of working in many different positions, the Head of Hoa Minh Border Guard Station - Lam Dang Quang remembers most the period from January 2013 to March 2017. At that time, as the Head of the Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force - Binh Thuan Provincial Border Guard Command, he always determined to do a good job in the fight against crime, especially drug crimes. Therefore, Mr. Quang always took the lead as an exemplary leader, not afraid of difficulties or hardships. Following Uncle Ho's teachings with the spirit of "Wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and serving the people", Mr. Quang and his teammates actively advised the unit commander to develop plans to strengthen reconnaissance work, grasp the situation, and maintain security and order in the coastal border area of the province. Mr. Quang and his teammates coordinated with other units to crack down on over 50 cases of illegal drug trafficking, storage, and transportation involving over 50 subjects, seizing dozens of grams of heroin, methamphetamine, and many other crimes...

From March 2017 to August 2022, when he was transferred to work at Lien Huong Border Guard Station - Tuy Phong district as Deputy Chief of Professional Affairs in charge of security and order. Mr. Quang constantly overcame difficulties, voluntarily studied and accumulated experience. "I always believe that I must put the interests and tasks of the unit first, live responsibly with work, comrades and teammates. Thanks to that, I have directed and directly arrested and prosecuted many cases with dozens of subjects who illegally stored and traded drugs and explosives..." - Mr. Quang shared more. From August 2022 to present, in his position as Chief of Hoa Minh Border Guard Station, Mr. Quang has directly directed and led the unit to fight and arrest dozens of cases of illegal trading and storage of heroin; methamphetamine, seized many mobile phones, motorbikes and cash...

Keeping in mind the wishes of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Mr. Quang promised to continue to strive, learn and practice regularly; preserve and promote the noble title that has been honored, spread its effects and influence, and set an example in society.
