Musician Dinh Quang Minh launches book "50 years of shining history"

(NLDO) – By diligently composing and maintaining his passion, musician Dinh Quanh Minh has made a strong mark on his career through a meaningful book.

On January 11, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House organized an exchange and introduction of the book "50 years of shining history".

The collection includes 50 songs imbued with the spirit of the homeland, filled with national pride, while evoking heroic historical memories of a resilient and indomitable Vietnam.

Sharing about this project, musician Dinh Quang Minh said that the South in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular have always been an endless source of inspiration for him. Because this is where many works from literature, theater, cinema, music, fine arts to photography, dance, architecture, etc. have been created and are very successful.

Therefore, when writing about the topic of Ho Chi Minh City, the musician always wondered how to create a special work, as a commemorative mark associated with the place where he was born and raised.

"The most touching thing for me is the work "HCMC 50 years of shining history" which was wholeheartedly supported by artist friends even though there was no compensation. Therefore, my biggest hope is to be able to release 50 MVs with all 50 artists as a way to join in the atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and also as a way to express gratitude to those who have accompanied me for many years" - the musician shared.

The work that left a strong impression on musician Dinh Quang Minh

Musician Dinh Quang Minh is a member of the Vietnam Music Association and Head of the Folk Arts Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Center.

At the age of 13, the musician composed his first children's song "Summer is Coming". The song received support from the District 11 Cultural House and was chosen by most units to participate in the Summer Children's Arts Competition.

Initially, musician Quang Minh officially worked as a musician and arranger before officially entering the composing career. He also arranged the works of famous musicians such as: Tran Long An, Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Nguyen Duc Trung, Khanh Vinh...

In 2001, he returned to the Youth Cultural House, taking on the role of officer in charge of clubs and teams.

Two years later, he moved to District 1 Cultural Center - Ben Thanh Theater, studying for a Master's degree in Cultural Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture.
