V-League champion makes strange decision with head coach position

Recently, many sources have speculated that CAHN will bring Mr. Maciel da Silva back to sit in the head coach position.

Coach Maciel da Silva is an assistant at CAHN Club.

But this is only half true because even though he signed a contract with coach Maciel da Silva, the Brazilian strategist only worked as an assistant.

Meanwhile, the position of head coach of the team is still held by Mr. Tran Tien Dai.

Mr. Maciel da Silva will be the third Brazilian to work with the reigning V-League champion.

Previously, the Hang Day team was led by two other Brazilian strategists, Paulo Foiani and Flavio Cruz.

“I feel proud to be part of CAHN Club next season. I know Vietnamese football when I was coaching U23 East Timor.

I also know the level of football players in Asia in general and in Southeast Asia in particular. Let's wait and see what happens and then decide what coaching strategies to use," Mr. Silva shared.

In the past, Mr. Silva had a period of leading U23 East Timor but did not bring much success.

Coach Silva's team also lost 0-2 to U23 Vietnam, when coach Park Hang-seo was still working with Vietnamese football.

As for CAHN, the decision to continue to let Mr. Tran Tien Dai hold the position of head coach is considered quite surprising.

Because before that, Mr. Dai only held the role of Technical Director and was brought in to temporarily lead the team before the final match of V-League 2023.

But up to now, the police team has no intention of replacing him and will continue to let coach Tran Tien Dai take the helm.

According to the schedule, at 7:15 p.m. on October 22, CAHN will begin its journey to defend the V-League championship by hosting Quy Nhon Binh Dinh at Hang Day Stadium.
