According to the report, at 11:50 a.m. on September 29, the Board of Directors of Phan Huy Chu High School - Thach That received a video clip containing images of a teacher with inappropriate behavior and speech.
The teacher pointed at, severely insulted, and called the student a "dog"
Through investigation, the school identified the teacher in the video as Mr. NCT (44 years old), an English teacher at the school. The video was filmed during the 3rd period on September 29 in class 10A9. The students in the video and the student who filmed the video are both in class 10A9.
Immediately after receiving the information, the school called Mr. NCT and the homeroom teacher of class 10A9 to confirm the incident and asked Mr. NCT to write a report.
The school quickly held a meeting between the board of directors and the heads of professional groups to inform them of the incident and decided to temporarily suspend Mr. NCT from work from October 2 to clarify the matter; at the same time, assigned the homeroom teacher to invite students to write a report.
On the evening of October 1, Phan Huy Chu High School - Thach That received instructions from the Chairman of the District People's Committee, the school's board of directors invited Mr. NCT, parents and 2 students involved in the incident to the school to work with the Thach That District Police. The school will have a specific report after receiving the conclusion from the police agency.
Previously, on the evening of October 1, a clip of more than 20 seconds long filmed in a classroom appeared on social media, showing a teacher standing on the podium, pointing at a student's face, grabbing his chin and scolding him, using the word "you" with the student and culminating in the sentence: "Do you understand, you dog? Go home."
This morning, October 2, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that they had checked and confirmed the incident that occurred at Phan Huy Chu High School - Thach That. Immediately after the clip appeared on social media, on the evening of October 1, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training directed the school to urgently coordinate with the police to verify the incident.
Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, affirmed that the department's directive is to resolutely and severely handle violations and absolutely not cover up substandard behavior or violations of teachers' ethics.
