Nguyen Vinh Tien shared that he and Thanh Lam once collaborated on a product called A thanks to him but were lost in a world called oblivion.
10 years later, Thanh Lam performed three songs: Cut Tien Duyen, Kieu Ca and Bac Menh Oan convincingly and movingly in the live show Tien Duyen. From there, the two nurtured a joint project and began selecting works from 2020-2022.
According to Nguyen Vinh Tien, the two had "two years of dialogue to understand each other better, choose better songs, and even write new songs to fit the overall album." The music director of this project is musician Tran Duc Minh.
The musician added that after going through the COVID-19 pandemic and two years later (2023-2024), the album was finally completed with 12 almost brand new songs selected from hundreds of songs he had composed.

"The film is about to be released. A plot spanning several decades of my music and tears, mostly around the decade 2012-2022 - where I flew like a heartbroken bird from East to West and then from West to East. And of course, Thanh Lam's deep, precious voice told, painted, and blended with the "film" in an emotional and enchanting way", Nguyen Vinh Tien shared.
The album "Coil Film" includes 12 songs: "Fade away", "Don't wait anymore", "Hoa dang dinh", "Giai han", "Kieu ca", "Ma non ro mot", "Cut tien duyen", "Coil Film", "Ten canh sau non", "Giac mo cua cha", "Tuong phu the", "Ten dinh Ngoa Van" .
The album features three guest singers including Ha Tran, Tung Duong and Ali Hoang Duong.
