The National Marathon and Long Distance Championship - Tien Phong Marathon 2024 takes place from March 29 to March 31, with March 31 being the main competition day. Today, athletes officially enter the event with familiarization laps on the course.
The full marathon (42.195km) starts at 1/4 Square, passes Hung Vuong Avenue, Thang Long Street, Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue. Runners will be able to admire Nhan Tower, Nghinh Phong Tower and the beautiful coastal road before reaching the finish line. In the half marathon (21.1km), the distance after crossing Hung Vuong Bridge will be shortened compared to the full marathon. However, runners will still be able to fully enjoy the iconic landscapes of Phu Yen.
With a distance of 10km, runners will run on Doc Lap Street and part of Hung Vuong Avenue. The 5km distance includes part of Doc Lap Street, Tran Hung Dao Street, Hung Vuong Avenue and Ly Tu Trong Street. The interesting thing about Tien Phong Marathon 2024 in Phu Yen is that all distances take place on a closed and non-repeating route.

Nguyen Thi Oanh is the most notable name among the Vietnamese track and field stars competing at the tournament.
This year, the female athlete aims to win the 8th championship on the 5km run.
Nguyen Thi Oanh is in good physical condition, ready to enter the race in Phu Yen.

Le Thi Tuyet is the reigning marathon champion.
Her main opponent is Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa - who won a bronze medal at the 31st SEA Games.
