On January 18, Dr. Le Anh Tuan, Head of the General Planning Department, People's Hospital 115, said that patient LHTN was transferred from Cao Kim Beauty Salon (69A, 3/2 Street, Ward 11, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) to the hospital in a state of drowsiness and severe respiratory failure.
"Recognizing the patient's critical condition, the on-duty team quickly performed emergency measures, used vasopressors to support blood pressure, and transferred to intensive care. The patient suffered from multiple organ failure and respiratory failure and was given mechanical ventilation, vital signs were monitored, fluid replacement, and blood filtration every day...", Dr. Tuan shared.
The patient's vital signs have improved but he still needs mechanical ventilation through an endotracheal tube and blood filtration.
The patient is being treated at the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Department.
Doctor Tuan said that after taking the patient's medical history, the beauty salon staff said that while the patient was being numbed for the second time, about 45 minutes after the first time, he started vomiting and stiffening his body. The beauty salon injected adrenaline and then called the 115 Emergency Center.
Mr. UN (H.'s relative) said that on the afternoon of January 13, he received a call from his sister's phone number, but it was from someone else reporting that his sister was in an emergency.
"Through text messages from her phone and exchanging information with the beauty salon staff, I learned that she went to the beauty salon to get a skin treatment to treat acne and while under anesthesia, she vomited and felt dizzy. My family and I did not expect that she went to get a skin treatment but the result would lead to such a serious accident," said Mr. Q.
Doctor Anh Tuan said that the need for beauty at the end of the year of women is very legitimate. However, it is necessary to choose a reputable cosmetic clinic, with legal conditions, guaranteed professional qualifications, and the ability to promptly handle emergencies with complications that can occur at any time.
