Within the framework of the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024, more than 1,000 OCOP products made from lotus associated with the culture of the northern mountainous provinces in 2024 were introduced to visitors to the capital. Notably, many fabric products and silk paintings woven from lotus silk cost up to 2.5 million VND.

With the theme 'The Colors of Hanoi Lotus', the first Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 will take place from July 12-16 at Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space. The event is also an activity to introduce and promote more than 1,000 OCOP products associated with the culture of the northern mountainous provinces.
According to Dan Viet reporters, at a booth selling fabric products and silk paintings woven from lotus silk, it attracted a lot of tourists to visit and shop.
It is known that these "unique" lotus silk products are produced by artisan Phan Thi Thuan.
For silk paintings woven from lotus silk in this booth, the price is up to 2.5 million VND, and silk fabric products woven from lotus silk cost from 500,000 - 800,000 VND/meter.
With more than 100 booths, visitors can enjoy and experience OCOP products, culinary “specialties” of each region. In the photo, a booth selling cakes and sweet soups made from lotus attracts a lot of visitors.
Son Da lotus seed ham products, which have been certified with 3-star OCOP certification, are introduced to the people of the capital. Ms. Nu (Cau Giay district) said: "I really love dishes made from lotus. Seeing that the lotus seed ham is quite unique and delicious, I bought it to try."

In addition, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy premium lotus tea, made from the Bach Diep lotus variety of West Lake.
"Coming to the first Hanoi Lotus Festival, I felt that everything was very beautiful and unique. In particular, there were many highlights related to lotus products that were very beautiful and meaningful. The OCOP products were diverse, pleasing to tourists," Mr. Dong (Tay Ho district) excitedly shared.
The first Hanoi Lotus Festival is an activity to concretize the City Party Committee's Program 04 on "Promoting the effective implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy, improving the material and spiritual life of farmers in the period of 2021-2025"; Program No. 06 on "Cultural development, improving the quality of human resources, building elegant and civilized Hanoians in the period of 2021-2025" and Resolution No. 09 on "Developing cultural industry in the capital for the period of 2021-2025, orientation to 2030, vision to 2045" of the Hanoi Party Committee".
The festival aims to promote and honor the beauty and cultural values of Thang Long - Hanoi, of the land of Tay Ho, of "Lotus" - the flower symbolizing the spirit and identity of the Vietnamese soul. Through the festival, the unique values of the "lotus tea brewing" profession as well as the unique characteristics of lotus culture in Vietnamese life are introduced. This is a trade promotion activity to strengthen the connection, production and consumption, exchange and share experiences of Hanoi lotus products with provinces and cities across the country. This is also an opportunity to promote and stimulate tourism, unleash the potential for developing OCOP products of localities; attract tourists to visit Hanoi, Tay Ho, contributing to the development of local economy and tourism.
Also at the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024, visitors will have the opportunity to experience lotus flower arrangement classes and hear about Vietnamese lotus culture.
