On July 20, Binh Tan District Police and Ho Chi Minh City Police Department investigated the death of a man in a garbage dump in an apartment building in the area.
At around 4am the same day, residents of an apartment building on Lo Te Street (Tan Tao A Ward, Binh Tan District) went to exercise. At this time, people discovered a man dead in a hanging position in the apartment building's garbage area, so they shouted and informed the security guard.
Upon receiving the news, the police arrived to block off the scene, conduct an autopsy, and take witness statements.
Residents of the apartment building said the victim lived in the apartment building and the garbage area was often left open. Before that, the victim and his relatives had gone to their hometown in the West and when they returned to Ho Chi Minh City, the incident happened.
