What should people comply with when the army builds pontoon bridges?

According to the reporter of Giao thong Newspaper, in the Phong Chau bridge area in recent days, the army forces are still reinforcing both banks of the Red River (Tam Nong and Lam Thao districts). Some buoys were previously released to serve the work of exploration and surveying water levels and flows. When safety is ensured and the access roads on both sides are completed, the pontoon bridge will be installed to serve the people.

Several pontoon bridge spans have been launched to assess the impact of currents, water levels and engineering factors.

Accordingly, Brigade 249 organized the construction of a PMP60T floating bridge in Zone 5, Huong Non Commune, Tam Nong District, Phu Tho Province. During the process of building the bridge, the Brigade had to mobilize and deploy a large amount of technical equipment in the two communes of Huong Non, Tam Nong District and Phung Nguyen Commune, Lam Thao District. Therefore, Brigade 249, Engineer Corps proposed:

On land, Tam Nong and Lam Thao District Police dispatched forces to organize traffic flow, regulate traffic and monitor vehicle loads crossing the bridge (only vehicles with a load capacity of ≤10 tons are allowed to cross the bridge) at the barrier stations from Highway 32 and Highway 320 turning into the overpass.

Within the area from the barrier station to the wharf and the area on the pontoon bridge, the Brigade's forces will command and control traffic and ensure technical safety. Within the area from the barrier station to Highway 32 and Highway 320, the Police and Traffic Inspectorate will command and control traffic.

When organizing the bridge, it is recommended to announce the strict prohibition of filming, recording and gathering to prevent the troops from performing their tasks. It is recommended that localities establish civil defense groups at village entrances and alleys to prevent people and vehicles from operating on the roads and wharf areas within the unit's bridge construction scope, especially at some key points: the Right Bank in Huong Non Commune, Tam Nong District; the Left Bank in Phung Nguyen Commune, Lam Thao District.

On the river: Phu Tho Provincial Police increased the Inland Waterway Traffic Police force, organized vigilance, traffic diversion, and ensured safety during the bridge construction and operation upstream (equivalent to Zone 3, Van Xuan commune, Tam Nong district) and downstream (equivalent to Zone 9, Huong Non commune, Tam Nong district).

Currently, the authorities continue to reinforce the approach road, renovate and build the overpass, assess the water level and flow, and when conditions are favorable and safety is ensured, they will install the pontoon bridge. The pontoon bridge will ensure traffic from 06:00 to 20:00 every day, starting after the bridge is opened.
