Implementing the policy of supporting residential land, production land and domestic water for poor ethnic minority households and poor households in extremely difficult villages and communes according to Decision No. 2085/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, in the period of 2017 - 2020, Ngoc Hoi district supported 179 households lacking residential land, 21 households lacking production land, 215 households lacking domestic water and 29 households changing jobs.
Particularly implementing Project 1, National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030, Phase I: From 2021 - 2025 (abbreviated as National Target Program 1719), from 2021 to present, Ngoc Hoi district has supported and solved residential land for 3 households, housing for 8 households, production land for 16 households, job conversion for 127 households, distributed domestic water for 158 households and 1 centralized domestic water project to serve the domestic water needs of ethnic minorities in Dak Ang commune.
Ngoc Hoi district has 9,038 ethnic minority households. Up to now, 99.97% of households have residential land; 99.96% of households have production land; the rate of ethnic minority households using hygienic water for daily life is 97%. To achieve the goal of having 100% of ethnic minority households having residential land, production land and using hygienic water for daily life by 2029, Ngoc Hoi district continues to promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in the implementation of the National Target Program 1719; deploy procedures to support residential land, production land, and domestic water in accordance with regulations, creating consensus among the people, especially in ethnic minority areas.
