Not your ordinary concert
Musician Do Hong Quan shared with Tuoi Tre Online that Vietnam's professional music industry always aims to develop a complete music industry, in both vocal and instrumental music.
"Vietnamese instrumental music is still young compared to the world, dating back to the early 60s of the last century.
Up to now, thanks to the efforts of many generations of Vietnamese musicians, we have had a professional instrumental music industry," said Mr. Do Hong Quan.
He listed some names such as Do Nhuan, Nguyen Xuan Khoat, Dam Linh, Nguyen Van Thuong, Nguyen Dinh Tan...
However, according to the musician, "we still have a lot of work to do on that development path."
In the Vietnamese Authors' Music Night , conductor Honna Tetsuji selected 6 works by authors from different generations.
"This is not just a normal symphony concert, but also a night marking the maturity of Vietnamese musicians in the field of instrumental music," said Mr. Quan.
