Nghe An: Highlights September 26

* In the regular September meeting held on the morning of September 26, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested that from now until the end of the year, sectors and localities focus on three main issues: Promoting production and business; increasing public investment disbursement and encouraging consumption.

* State budget revenue in Nghe An province in September is estimated at 963 billion VND, accumulated revenue in 9 months is estimated at 11,671 billion VND, reaching 73.6% of the estimate and equal to 77.48% compared to the same period in 2022.

* On the morning of September 26, the Women's Union of Nghe An province held the Opening Ceremony of the "Forum to meet and honor excellent grassroots Union Chairmen and exemplary Women's Union Chairmen" in 2023. 100 Women's Union officials, including 50 excellent grassroots Union Chairmen and 50 exemplary Women's Union Chairmen, were honored.

* The 10th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association, term 2023-2028, took place on September 27 and 28. Attending the congress were 304 official delegates representing 499,753 farmers' association members in the province, bringing the farmers' legitimate aspirations to the congress.

* In recent years, the scale of satellite schools in the province has been decreasing. However, this is still a suitable model for mountainous districts, helping students have more opportunities to go to school.

* Thousands of foreign branded cigarette packs washed up on the shores of communes in Nghi Loc district, stretching about 2km. Many people picked up many packs that were not soaked in water and brought them home.

* On the morning of September 26, Mr. Lo Van Thao and his wife (Chau Thuan commune, Quy Chau district) became the owners of the license plate 37 - G1 222.22. It is known that the license plate is used for the Honda Wave Alpha motorbike that he recently bought as a gift for his wife.

* There has been heavy to very heavy rain from yesterday afternoon to today (September 26) in some localities in Nghe An such as Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Thanh Chuong... Heavy rain is forecast to continue until the end of September 28, warning of the risk of flash floods on rivers and streams in Nghe An.
