* On April 20, provincial leaders visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers, wounded soldiers, and frontline laborers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
The provincial delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu visited and presented gifts to war invalids, Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, currently living in Dien Chau district and Vinh city.
In Dien Chau district, the provincial delegation visited Dien Bien soldier Bui Dinh Hoe, born in 1927, in Dien Hoa commune; visited and presented gifts to Mr. Le Van Giao, born in 1930, in Dien Cat commune.
In Vinh city, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to Mr. Dinh Van Lam, born in 1934, residing in Hung Hoa commune; and visited and presented gifts to Mr. Pham Duc Minh, born in 1937, residing in Hung Loc commune.
*On the same day, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, as Head of the provincial working delegation, visited and presented gifts to 3/4 war invalid Nguyen Cong Nhan, 96 years old, a soldier who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, currently living in Thai Son commune; visited and presented gifts to 4/4 war invalid Thai Van Diu, 94 years old, who directly participated in the youth volunteer movement in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, currently living in Hoa Son commune.
* On April 20, the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee held the 2024 Entrepreneur Knowledge Training Conference. Attending the conference were more than 500 delegates who were key leaders of enterprises with affiliated grassroots party organizations.
* On the morning of April 20, hundreds of candidates returned to Vinh University to take the Aptitude Test organized by Hanoi National University. Among them, there were candidates who traveled hundreds of kilometers to test their abilities in the test.
After this exam, on May 11 and 12, the 4th competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University will also be held in Nghe An.
* On the morning of April 20, the communes of Nghia Phu, Nghia Tho, Nghia Hieu, Nghia Hung and Nghia Thinh in Nghia Dan district simultaneously held a conference to collect voters' opinions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period.
After the merger of Nghia Phu commune into Nghia Tho commune, the proposed name of the new administrative unit is Nghia Tho commune; Nghia Hieu commune into Nghia Thinh commune into Nghia Hung commune, the proposed name of the new administrative unit is Nghia Hung commune. Voters highly agree with the merger plan proposed by the district government.
* On April 20, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Hung Nguyen district coordinated with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Nghe An province to organize the first voluntary blood donation festival for community health in 2024.
At the blood donation festival, all blood donors were screened, had their blood tested, had their blood pressure measured, and had their health checked before donating blood. Through this, 634 units of blood were received, exceeding the planned target.
