Nghe An: Highlights on November 18

* On the morning of November 18, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with Nghe An province to organize a seminar on "Potentials, advantages and strategic orientations for socio-economic development in Western Nghe An".

At the seminar, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy, former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute, Deputy Head of the Economic and Social Advisory Group of Nghe An province, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period, Founder, Chairman of the Strategy Council of TH Thai Huong Group and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen - National Coordinator of the Global Environment Facility Small Projects Funding Program under the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) discussed and provided more specific perspectives on the current situation, potential, advantages, and difficulties in regional development; factors affecting development, and at the same time suggested solutions that are both general and specific, appropriate to have a clearer direction for the development of Western Nghe An.

* On the afternoon of November 18, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023), comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee came to celebrate with the people of block 16, Ha Huy Tap ward, Vinh city.

In the joyful, exciting and solidarity atmosphere of the Festival, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu presented gifts to Block 16, Ha Huy Tap Ward, and presented gifts to households in difficult circumstances; Block 16 awarded branches, socio-political organizations and families with outstanding achievements in emulation movements.

* On the morning of November 18, Thanh Dong commune (Thanh Chuong district) held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the commune's founding, the 25th anniversary of the People's Armed Forces Heroic Unit and received the Certificate of recognition for meeting the Advanced New Rural Standards.

* On November 18, the Party Committee of Nghe An Province's Business Bloc and Vietcombank Nghe An branch organized a ceremony to present 500 million VND to build 10 houses for poor households in Luu Kien and Xieng My communes, Tuong Duong district.

* On the morning of November 18, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Nghe An province organized the Kick-off Ceremony of the online fundraising run "Warm Tet in the Western Region of Nghe An" at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh city).

* At around 9:00 a.m. on November 18, a fire broke out at a factory belonging to Green Service Joint Stock Company, located in Area C, Nam Cam Industrial Park, Nghi Quang Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Upon receiving the news, the CC&CNCH Teams quickly deployed forces and firefighting equipment. The fire has now been contained, preventing the risk of spreading to neighboring areas. The fire did not cause any human casualties. The cause is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
