Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 10th Grade Confidence Festival, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nguyen - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper - said that the 10th grade entrance exam is always a stressful milestone for students and their families.

This year, the 10th grade entrance exam has a special feature: this is the first time that 9th grade students will enter the exam with the foundation of studying according to the 2018 General Education Program. This brings many changes, from the way subjects are organized, knowledge content to the method of assessing capacity.

But instead of worrying, turn challenges into motivation.

Therefore, today's festival becomes even more meaningful, a place for students to clearly understand the points to note in the upcoming exam, to get detailed answers about how to make questions, effective review methods according to the new orientation, as well as to listen to the experiences of teachers who have directly taught according to the new program during the past time.

"Today's event is a place for you to listen, share and resolve all your concerns, from how to choose a school, choose a subject group, to how to maintain your spirit during the exam preparation process. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet with teachers and consultants to answer all your questions at today's event," Mr. Nguyen said.

The Confidence in Grade 10 Festival at Hung Vuong High School, District 5 was attended by Ms. Trinh Thi Hien Tran (Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Council), Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung (Deputy Head of the School Youth Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union), and journalist Nguyen Khac Cuong (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper).

At Vo Truong Toan High School (District 12) , the program opened with the "greeting" of students from 12 high schools, vocational education institutions, vocational education - continuing education centers... in District 12 and neighboring areas.

Each group of "senior" students brought to the junior high school students concise but meaningful introductions to present the general features of their school.

These are also likely to be "options" worth considering for students in the area in the upcoming 10th grade entrance exam.

At the counseling point of Hung Vuong High School (District 5) , high schools have begun to reach students through parades and introductions on stage.

More than 20 high schools, continuing education centers... paraded in front of thousands of students to introduce their special features in enrollment, teaching and activities.

"We want to give 9th graders and their parents a comprehensive view of the school, including specific subjects and activities of the school in 3 years," said the Vice Principal of Vo Van Kiet High School, Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, students and parents visited each consulting booth of high schools, continuing education centers, and study abroad facilities to receive direct consultation.

7am: Many students "covered" the yard of Hung Vuong High School from early morning.

At Hung Vuong High School, from early morning, it was bustling with parents and teachers bringing students to the school to receive advice and hear information about grade 10 enrollment.

Rui Tai and Kim Ngan, 9th grade students at Tran Boi Co Secondary School (District 5) said their parents took them to this school early.

"As soon as I entered school, I was given the Confidence Handbook for Grade 10. My friends and I read it and found it to have a lot of useful information about grade 10 admissions," Kim Ngan said.

It was just after 7am but at the Hung Vuong High School counseling location, 9th grade students from many schools had filled the school yard. They were excited to have their questions about 10th grade admissions answered.

Phi Tuyet - a student at Nguyen Hue Secondary School (District 11) said she came here hoping to get advice from teachers about this year's entrance exam scores for the high schools she is interested in.

Thousands of students attend the festival in District 12

Thousands of students from secondary schools in District 12 and neighboring areas gathered at Vo Truong Toan Secondary School (District 12) to attend the festival organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper.

This is one of two locations where the 10th Grade Confidence Day took place this morning, March 30.

From early morning, students have participated in exciting activities, met teachers from high schools, vocational training institutions, continuing education institutions... in the area to learn in advance about the directions after graduating from junior high school. This is the "basic" information to help students enter the general counseling part of the program, consulting with experts.

To kick off the festival, at Vo Truong Toan High School (District 12), students tested their skills with a quick reaction game. They enthusiastically competed to count quickly without running out of breath, name flowers, name breakfast foods, etc.
