A representative of the city's Department of Health said that, in addition to responding to the campaign to support people affected by storm No. 3 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, on September 12, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City organized a meeting and discussed with leaders of affiliated hospitals and agreed on practical activities to share and support the health care of the northern provinces that are being heavily affected.

Specifically, to implement the support program "Family medicine bag to support people affected by storm No. 3", the Department of Health's professional council met to agree and provide a list of necessary medicines to help people isolated by floods take care of their own health (both adults and children) with detailed instructions for use to ensure safety and effectiveness.

The program "Family medicine bags to support people affected by storm No. 3" was launched by the City Department of Health throughout the health sector, including affiliated units and non-public hospitals and medical facilities to support 30,000 medicine bags for 10 northern provinces and cities that are heavily affected by storm No. 3.

It is expected that on September 14, the first bags of medicine will begin to be transported to the Health Departments of provinces and cities to promptly support people.

In the context of rising flood waters that have isolated many households, the “Family Medicine Bag” with essential medicines such as fever reducers, stomachache, diarrhea, allergies, skin antiseptics, personal bandages, etc. was quickly sent to people who were severely affected by storm No. 3. This is truly a very practical activity. In the past few days, all staff of the City Health Department have united in action and in the first phase urgently made 30,000 “Family Medicine Bags” to send to people in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3.
