On the afternoon of December 25, the Ministry of Justice held a conference to review judicial work in 2023, evaluate mid-term work results; orient tasks until the end of the 2021-2026 term, and deploy work in 2024. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long and Deputy Ministers of Justice chaired the conference at the Hanoi bridge. In 2023 and since the beginning of the term, the direction and administration of the Ministry of Justice has been carried out in a unified and synchronous manner, closely following the socio-economic development goals of the Party and the National Assembly, the action motto of the term and the annual resolutions of the Government; the direction of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers at the national conference on the annual implementation of judicial work; the direction and administration of local Party committees and authorities.
In total, since the beginning of the term, the Ministry of Justice and other ministries and sectors have drafted, submitted for promulgation or promulgated under their authority 2,198 legal documents. In localities, 12,873 provincial-level legal documents, 7,891 district-level legal documents, and 5,4733 commune-level legal documents have been issued. The entire sector has inspected under its authority 37,153 legal documents.

The work of disseminating and educating the law (PBGDPL) continues to be carried out synchronously and effectively. Since the beginning of the term, ministries, branches and localities have organized 1,464,569 direct PBGDPL meetings for more than 100 million people. Nationwide, more than 255 million copies have been certified; 25,987,715 signature, contract and transaction certifications have been carried out.
Since the beginning of the term, the country has received 302,172 conciliation cases, of which the number of successful conciliation cases is 259,554 cases and the rate of successful conciliation has increased continuously over the years. THADS agencies have made efforts to complete 1,609,462 cases, equivalent to more than 211,073 billion VND. Results of recovering assets appropriated and lost in corruption and economic cases: more than 6,856 cases have been completed, with more than 40,488 billion VND.
In addition, the work of legal aid, legal support for businesses; management of administrative violations, monitoring of law enforcement; international legal work, international cooperation on law; citizen reception, handling of complaints and denunciations and prevention and combat of corruption... achieved many positive results.

The conference also oriented the tasks until the end of the 2021 - 2026 term. Accordingly, the Judicial sector continues to inherit and promote the achievements of the Ministry and the Judicial sector in advising on the development, completion and organization of law enforcement in recent years, on the basis of closely following the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, resolutions and directives of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat. Strictly implement the provisions of the law on judgment enforcement. Strive to complete the targets and tasks of THADS assigned by the National Assembly and the Government every year.
Continue to effectively implement Directive No. 04-CT/TW dated June 2, 2021 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in the recovery of lost and misappropriated assets in corruption and economic cases; Decision No. 17/QD-TTg dated January 13, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Improving the quality and effectiveness of civil judgment enforcement work for business and commercial judgments and decisions in the period 2023 - 2028"...

In the immediate future, in 2024, promptly grasp, advise on timely and complete institutionalization and effectively implement resolutions, directives, conclusions and guiding documents of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, Secretariat, National Assembly, Government and Prime Minister related to the areas of work of the Ministry and the Justice sector, especially continuing to advise and effectively organize the implementation of Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW on continuing to build and perfect the Socialist Republic of Vietnam's rule of law state in the new period.

Mediation at the grassroots level has increasingly played an important role in social life, and the number and quality of mediators at the grassroots level have been increased. Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang requested the Ministry of Justice, in addition to performing well the tasks set out at the conference, to focus on leading and directing the final handling of cases with conditions for enforcement, especially key cases, complicated and prolonged cases. Advise the Government to effectively carry out State management of administrative enforcement.
Strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of State management and the quality of public services in the fields of civil status, nationality, authentication; judicial assistance; judicial records...
