On August 28, 1945, the Provisional Government of President Ho Chi Minh was introduced to the people. Among the first 13 ministries and branches established were the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Social Relief - the predecessor of today's Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Along with the process of movement and development, in February 1987, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs was established to inherit and promote the functions and tasks of previous predecessor ministries and agencies.

After nearly 80 years of establishment, from the first two ministries, through four mergers, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has carried out the continuous tasks of employment and social security, contributing significantly to ensuring social security and improving people's lives.

For the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Nong province, after more than 20 years of re-establishment (January 1, 2004), the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has performed well its advisory function, assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of labor, wages and employment; vocational education (except pedagogy); social insurance; occupational safety and hygiene; meritorious people; social protection - prevention and control of social evils; children; gender equality...

Congratulating the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on this special occasion, Vice Chairwoman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh said that in any circumstances, despite the ups and downs, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Nong province always strives to fulfill its responsibilities. These efforts have been recognized by the Ministry, the sector and Dak Nong province.

Although it is no longer called the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the sector have promoted the achieved results, continued to carry out social security and welfare tasks, contributing to the development of Dak Nong province,” Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh suggested.
