This system is connected to the smart grid, remotely controlled via SCADA system to the Central Power System Control Center - A3 and Dak Nong Remote Control Center. The system is operated according to the unmanned criteria.

The completion of the project to install transformer T2, 110kV Krong No substation is of great significance, contributing to improving the quality of electricity, serving the needs of people in the area.

With the goal of promoting the application of science and technology, gradually automating production and business activities, Dak Nong Power Company has switched 7/7 110kV substations to unmanned operation.

There are currently no workers on duty at the stations. Switching and controlling station equipment is done remotely. Operations on the equipment system as well as collecting technical parameters are all done automatically.

Mr. Le Van Tu, Head of the Control Department, shared: “Putting into operation unmanned 110kV substations is an important step in the process of modernizing and automating the power system. From here, operating parameters will be connected to the center. Staff will operate through monitoring systems and fire alarm systems... contributing to improving operational management and minimizing incidents”.

The development of the unmanned substation model is part of the roadmap for building a smart grid of the Electricity industry, aiming to modernize and automate the power grid in the province.

Through practical assessment, unmanned substations have brought many practical benefits such as: reducing operating time, switching equipment, shortening grid troubleshooting time...

Power grid operation parameters at unmanned 110kV substations are updated daily by an integrated HMI control computer system for monitoring, controlling equipment, and exploiting information automatically recorded on the system.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Hoang, Head of Dak Mil Mobile Operation Team said: “All substations operate without a human operator, facilitating operational management. This allows operators to have more time to study and learn more about the equipment. At the same time, timely solutions to overcome problems are provided, ensuring the safe operation of the power system.”

Promoting digital transformation and applying science and technology in management and operation at 110kV substations of Dak Nong Electricity sector contributes to improving the reliability of power supply, ensuring safe, continuous and stable power supply, serving the task of economic and social development in the province.
