The interesting thing about Mui Ne is that the sandy land jutting out into the sea has created two curved coastlines like two beautiful bays, which the locals call the front beach and the back beach. On days of big waves and strong winds, ships sailing up and down the sea through this area must stop at the cape to avoid natural disasters and storms. Therefore, since ancient times, this land has been called Mui Ne.

From a pristine coastline with undulating pink sand dunes like a desert, far from traffic routes, with only a few poor fishing villages, Mui Ne has now grown hundreds of high-end resorts and become the most poetic and attractive marine eco-tourism destination in Binh Thuan. During the rainy and stormy season, hundreds of fishing boats of fishermen enter the bay to anchor to avoid storms. On calm days, the sea water is clear, boats are anchored in the crowded front beach, on the white sand bank is a bustling fish market of the fishing village people.
Back Beach (Hon Rom Bay) is quite quiet, with gentle waves, clear water and no reefs, so it is suitable for light recreational activities, swimming, walking, windsurfing and night campfires. Since the total solar eclipse, Mui Ne Back Beach has been awakened, completely transformed, and coastal roads have opened for tourism investors to exploit the beauty of Hon Rom Bay.
Looking out from the back beach of Mui Ne, you can see a small island, which the locals call "ghen island". There are no houses or residents on the island. It is a deserted oasis with only bushes, rocks and flocks of seabirds. On the island there is a temple to worship the god of the South Sea. Many fishermen before going to sea stop by the temple to burn incense and pray for peace and catch a lot of fish. Ghen island is only about 1,000 meters from Hon Rom beach, so many adventurous travelers have rented boats from the locals to explore and enjoy the strange coral reefs around the small island. Above the high shore of the back beach is the famous pink sand dune in Mui Ne. The shape and color of the sand dune always change with the wind, captivating travelers.
Mui Ne Back Beach (Phan Thiet) has many beautiful natural landscapes. The tourist areas are located right next to the coast, so early in the morning when the sun has just risen above the sea, many tourists experience with fishermen pulling nets, pulling basket boats to the sandbank, and removing small fish caught in the net. The activities of the fishing villagers along with the natural beauty of Mui Ne Back Beach at dawn are like a beautiful "ink painting" on the sea.
