Scientific application of HAGL

HAGL can no longer maintain the top position in LPBank V-League 2024 - 2025, but the mountain town team still maintains an unbeaten streak after 5 rounds. In the 1-1 draw against Thanh Hoa in round 5, HAGL led until the last minutes, despite having to compete with one of the most physically formidable opponents.

One of the reasons why HAGL is unbeaten was revealed by the team itself, which is the application of sports science in training and competition.

HAGL players were given oxygen in the match against Thanh Hoa.

"Statistics show that HAGL players ran continuously during the match against Thanh Hoa. Of which, 6 HAGL players ran more than 11 km in 90 minutes. The GPS physical fitness index of the second half such as running distance and intensity zones remained even higher than the first half, meaning that the oxygen debt has improved greatly," HAGL affirmed.

The mountain town football team has helped players get oxygen before and during the match to improve their physical strength. In particular, "recharging" oxygen before the match helps players quickly adapt to the altitude or overcome the psychological barrier of stress before the kick-off. And "compensating" oxygen during the break between the two halves helps players stay warm throughout the 45 minutes of the second half.

Technical Director (GDKT) Vu Tien Thanh shared: "HAGL Club is applying the latest sports science and technology applications to football. Currently, the Club has established and operated a sports medicine room, a sports science room, and a tactical analysis room. This is one of the factors that helps the revolution in using human resources trained by HAGL to gradually progress through each match".

Impressive statistics of HAGL

After 5 rounds, only 2 V-League teams are still unbeaten, which are HAGL and Ha Tinh. Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh's HAGL team has the best defensive record in the tournament with 3 clean sheets and only 2 goals conceded. HAGL's scoring statistics are also stable with 8 goals after 5 rounds (ranked 2nd in the tournament).

HAGL flies high

After struggling to stay in the league last season, HAGL is "transforming" this season thanks to good mental and physical preparation for the players, along with the philosophy of counter-attacking defense, tight play and pragmatism that Mr. Vu Tien Thanh thoroughly applies.

The mountain town football team is reaping initial success, as it no longer pursues an adventurous attacking style of play, but instead plays scientifically and knows itself and its opponents better.

The 0-0 draw against Nam Dinh and 1-1 against Thanh Hoa showed maturity in terms of character, when HAGL was able to overcome the pressure of strong opponents, despite a thin and inexperienced force with 9 U.23 players in the squad.

In the next 4 rounds, HAGL will play away at Binh Duong Club, then return home to host Hanoi Police Club, then have two away trips to Ha Tinh and Hai Phong. With a stormy schedule, HAGL will need to make a lot of effort if they want to maintain their position in the top group.
