Increase maximum speed of Vinh Hao highway

By noon today – February 6, all signs with a maximum speed of 80km/h on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway have been replaced, raising the speed to 90km/h…

This adjustment was made by the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project operator under the direction of the Ministry of Transport . Previously, the Ministry of Transport had sent a document to relevant units regarding the speed increase adjustment for the expressway with 4 lanes for motor vehicles with a median strip (2 lanes in each direction).

The signs on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway have been replaced, raising the speed to 90km/h.

According to the request of the Ministry of Transport, 8 sections of the 4-lane expressway can operate at a maximum speed of 90km/h. Thus, with the above adjustment, from February 6, car drivers traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway are allowed to travel at a maximum speed of 90km/h instead of 80km/h as before.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is 100.8 km long, starting in Vinh Hao Commune (Tuy Phong) and ending in Ham Kiem Commune (Ham Thuan Nam). Construction of the route began in September 2020. It was put into operation on May 19, 2023, and inaugurated on June 18, 2023.
