Increase the maximum speed limit on Vinh Hao Expressway.

By noon today – February 6th, all speed limit signs indicating 80km/h on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway have been replaced, raising the speed limit to 90km/h…

This adjustment was made by the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project management unit under the direction of the Ministry of Transport . Previously, the Ministry of Transport had sent a document to relevant units regarding the adjustment to increase the speed limit for the phased investment expressway designed with 4 lanes for motor vehicles with a central median (2 lanes in each direction).

The speed limit signs on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway have been replaced, increasing the speed limit to 90 km/h.

According to the Ministry of Transport's requirements, eight sections of the four-lane expressway with limited access can now operate at a maximum speed of 90 km/h. Therefore, with this adjustment, from February 6th, drivers on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway are permitted to travel at a maximum speed of 90 km/h instead of 80 km/h as before.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is 100.8 km long, with its starting point in Vinh Hao commune (Tuy Phong district) and its end point in Ham Kiem commune (Ham Thuan Nam district). Construction began in September 2020. It was opened to traffic on May 19, 2023, and inaugurated on June 18, 2023.
