The "Youth with Traffic Culture" festival and the series of activities "Youth of the Capital participate in propagating and maintaining traffic safety and order" in 2024 organized by the City Youth Union and the Hanoi City Youth Union are meaningful activities responding to the theme of 2024: "Respecting the law to build a safe traffic culture"; at the same time promoting the stronger and more effective implementation of the campaign "Youth with Traffic Culture".
Traffic safety activities of the festival contribute to raising awareness of young people in complying with traffic safety laws, building traffic culture, preventing risks of traffic accidents to minimize traffic accidents in the city.

This is a program to concretize Decision No. 3823/QD-UBND dated October 12, 2022 of the Hanoi People's Committee on approving the Project of Capital Youth participating in propaganda and maintaining traffic order and safety for the period 2022 - 2025; implementing the Project "Capital Youth participating in propaganda and maintaining traffic order and safety for the period 2022 - 2025" of the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union implemented in 2024 on promoting propaganda and education among youth union members on traffic safety; improving knowledge and awareness of compliance with the Road Traffic Law to contribute to reducing traffic violations and accidents; equipping youth union members with knowledge of safe and effective driving and skills to respond to unexpected incidents that occur while participating in traffic; At the same time, create a healthy, useful and practical playground for youth union members through activities taking place during the festival, thereby helping youth union members to be more aware of their position, role and responsibility when participating in traffic.

The City Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi continues to implement contents and activities to propagate, disseminate and educate laws on traffic order and safety; 100% of Youth Union bases include the content of disseminating traffic laws in monthly and quarterly regular activities. 100% of affiliated Youth Union bases build traffic culture criteria for youth; 100% of districts, towns, and schools implement the model of "Traffic Safety School Gate", "Green Traffic" formation, traffic rapid response team and practical works and tasks to participate in ensuring traffic safety in the city...
Every young person should be an active propagandist.
The "Green Traffic" team has been actively deployed by the grassroots Youth Union. In order to effectively implement the model, in recent times, the City Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union and Hanoi Police have regularly coordinated to organize training programs to provide knowledge and skills for volunteer youth traffic guidance teams of 30 districts, towns and cities in the city.
After more than 1 year of operation, together with the PVC Road Rescue Rapid Response Teams and the PVC Waterway Rescue Inflatable Boat Teams under the Vietnam Off-Road Pickup Club, 15 city-level "Green Traffic" teams and 30 grassroots green traffic teams with 675 members have promoted the spirit of shock and volunteerism of the Capital's youth to be on duty, participate in volunteering, support rescue activities, ensure traffic order and safety and contribute to the implementation of the Capital's political tasks.

In addition, the model "Traffic Safety School Gate" is deployed simultaneously to contribute to equipping basic knowledge to help students of schools gain more necessary skills and have a more complete view of traffic culture, building traffic culture for students in the new situation.
The model "Traffic Safety School Gate" aims to promote and strengthen propaganda and education work for students, teachers, and school staff to better understand the importance of participating in safe traffic, raise awareness of compliance with Traffic Laws, and contribute to reducing traffic accidents for students.
In particular, in the series of activities of Youth Festival with Traffic Culture, "Youth of the Capital participates in propagating and maintaining traffic safety and order" was launched with the following contents: A convoy of vehicles to propagate green traffic on the streets; organizing a final round to present ideas on using technology in ensuring traffic safety; organizing a Golden Bell contest to learn about Traffic Laws...
The program has contributed to promoting the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism of the capital's youth in ensuring traffic safety and participating in overcoming traffic congestion; at the same time, continuing to raise awareness among the Youth Union cadres, members, youth, and teenagers, considering this a key task in the educational work of the Youth Union and youth organizations with the Youth Union as the core.
The festival also helps equip young union members with knowledge of safe and effective driving and skills to deal with unexpected incidents that occur while participating in traffic. Create a healthy, useful and practical playground for young union members through activities taking place during the festival, thereby helping young union members to be more aware of their position, role and responsibility when participating in traffic.
Traffic culture is voluntarily complying with traffic safety order, preventing behaviors that endanger traffic participants, respecting and giving way to others, wholeheartedly helping traffic participants in trouble, helping the disabled, children, and the elderly to move towards a safe and friendly traffic society.
