Raising awareness of copyright protection in music

The information was introduced to the press by the Copyright Office, in which the highlight of the series of propaganda activities were two events taking place on April 20 in Ho Chi Minh City, including: a scientific seminar and an art performance to propagate and popularize policies and laws related to copyright; at the same time, it was an opportunity to connect management agencies, artists and the business community to share experiences and update trends in protecting intellectual property rights in the digital age.

The propaganda program on music copyright protection is promoted on World Intellectual Property Day.

Ms. Pham Thi Kim Oanh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Copyright Office, emphasized that protecting intellectual property in music is not only the right of artists but also the responsibility of the whole society. A sustainable music industry cannot develop if copyright is violated.

Ms. Pham Thi Kim Oanh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Copyright Office, said that protecting copyright is the responsibility of the whole society.

According to the organizers, choosing Ho Chi Minh City as the venue is meaningful. This is not only a major cultural center but also positioning itself to become a creative city, especially in the context of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
