On the afternoon of November 20, Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to listen to the Department of Industry and Trade report on the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council stipulating specific spending levels for local industrial promotion activities in the province. Representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and leaders of the People's Committees of districts and cities attended the meeting.

According to the draft regulations on specific expenditure levels for local industrial promotion activities of the Department of Industry and Trade, there are 9 groups of expenditure contents including: short-term vocational training and vocational training; support for consulting, training, coaching, and seminars; support for building technical demonstration models; organizing the selection of typical rural industrial products; consulting activities; building communication programs; supporting joint ventures, economic cooperation, and developing industrial clusters; international cooperation on industrial promotion; improving management capacity and organizing the implementation of industrial promotion activities. With 22 expenditure contents for industrial promotion activities, the State will support from 30% of actual costs to no more than 500 million VND.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the legal basis, practicality, feasibility, development needs and spending levels to ensure incentives and promote the development of the province's industrial and handicraft sectors.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Industrial promotion activities are very important in encouraging and promoting people and businesses to invest in developing industry and handicrafts, especially the application of science and technology and modern machinery to increase productivity, quality, product competitiveness, and improve economic efficiency. Industrial promotion activities also contribute to shifting the economic structure towards developing industry and handicrafts, creating jobs, increasing income, building new rural areas, and effectively implementing the cause of industrialization and modernization of rural areas. The issuance of the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the level of expenditure for industrial promotion activities aims to ensure legality, create unity and effectiveness in industrial promotion work.

In order for the Resolution to be soon approved and implemented, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Industry and Trade to be the unit in charge of fully absorbing the opinions of the delegates, completing the report, submission and implementing the steps and procedures to advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval, and promulgation of a Resolution stipulating specific spending levels for local industrial promotion activities in the province at the upcoming session of the Provincial People's Council.
