WATCH CLIP:
According to information from the Traffic Police Department of Hai Phong City Police, on the evening of May 31, on National Highway 10 (through Tan Lien Commune, Vinh Bao District, Hai Phong City), a serious accident occurred, leaving one person dead and one injured. Notably, the cause of the accident was a young man driving a motorbike doing a wheelie and then crashing into a car going in the opposite direction.
Specifically, BQH (born in 2006) drove a motorbike with license plate 15K-519.XX carrying HVL (born in 2005, both residing in Vinh Bao district) on National Highway 10 in the direction from Vinh Bao town to Quy Cao bridge.
At Km 51 in Tan Lien commune (Vinh Bao district), H. was driving a wheelie. During the wheelie, H.'s car went to the opposite side of the road. At this time, HVL, who was sitting behind, jumped off the car, while H. continued to drive straight into the oncoming car with license plate 15C-158.XX driven by driver BNL (born in 1982, residing in Hai Phong city).
After the accident, BQH was seriously injured and taken to the emergency room but later died at the hospital; HVL was slightly injured.
The accident is a wake-up call for teenagers riding motorbikes on the streets. This action poses many potential risks to traffic safety because just a slight deviation in the handlebars or a fall while riding a motorbike can cause an accident.
