The Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand Award is an annual and official award of Ho Chi Minh City, directed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade and Saigon Economic Magazine.

On January 14, 2024, the organizing committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand Award honored 32 enterprises with brands that won this award in 2023.

In particular, Nam Phuong Food with the Barona brand is one of 19 enterprises honored to receive the Golden Brand for the second time. By overcoming a series of strict criteria of the award, Nam Phuong Food has once again built and maintained a strong and stable Barona brand in the market.

The evaluation and approval process is extremely transparent and impartial because the Voting Council has 9 members from the Vietnam Marketing Association; Ho Chi Minh City Business Association; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics; Institute for Brand and Competitiveness Strategy Research. International branding experts; Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, Saigon Economic Magazine.

There is also consumer participation in the assessment through a large-scale survey of 1,000 Ho Chi Minh City consumers.
