The management agency said it is coordinating to handle the case of beauty queen Nam Em who livestreamed to "expose" showbiz stories, causing a stir online.

During these sessions, she talks about her life, love life and some hidden corners of showbiz. Nam Em mentioned an ex-boyfriend - who she said was in showbiz, or claimed that an actress used stimulants. At times, she declared that "everyone in the entertainment industry is dating rich men, it's just that they haven't been exposed". Although she didn't mention any names, many viewers discussed information related to the "exposed" character, creating a negative effect.

On the afternoon of February 22, at a regular meeting at the Press Center, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City - said that he had received many reports about the incident. The representative of the management agency said that they were planning and closely coordinating with relevant agencies to handle this case in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the law.

"We want to convey the message: Social media users are also the ones who benefit from information from society. If we post negative news and take advantage of it to insult others, we ourselves will be affected by the flow of negative information. The management agency will resolutely handle cases of taking advantage of social media to engage in deviant behavior and statements that violate the law in order to attract followers," said Mr. Hoi.

On the same afternoon, Nam Em apologized for the first time on her personal page. She said that she had not fulfilled her responsibilities as a citizen, causing negative impacts on social networks in recent days. "I did not complete my studies well, did not love myself, but instead clung to the wounds of the past. I will take full responsibility before the law," she said.

Her full name is Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em, 28 years old, from Tien Giang, and was in the Top 8 of Miss Earth 2016. In 2022, when competing in Miss World Vietnam, she became a notable factor, her images and videos posted on the contest's fanpage and social networking platforms received great interactions, winning the "Media Beauty" award.
