National Tourism Year Summary Conference - Dien Bien 2024

According to the report of the Steering Committee for National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024, in 2024, under the direct direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; with the coordination and support of central ministries and branches, 169 cultural, sports and tourism programs and events... were organized.

Of which, there are 13 national programs and events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and central ministries and branches; 28 programs and events organized by Dien Bien province; 128 events and response programs organized by 33 provinces and centrally-run cities.

The successful organization of activities and events during the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien has contributed to the overall success of Vietnam Tourism in 2024 with many good results.

The number of international tourists to Vietnam in the year will reach 17.5 million (up 38.9% over the same period in 2023); serving 110 million domestic tourists (up 1.6% over the same period in 2023); total revenue from tourism activities will reach VND 840 trillion (up 23.8% over the same period in 2023).

On behalf of the Government leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to collectives and individuals of Dien Bien province.

For Dien Bien province, the successful hosting and organization of a series of events and activities of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 associated with the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 2024) not only affirms the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province, but also demonstrates Dien Bien's capacity to organize and implement national-level activities.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 6 individuals for their outstanding achievements in organizing the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 event.
