In 2024, the Provincial Market Management Department handled over 1,000 violations, imposing fines of over 28 billion VND.

On the afternoon of December 24, the Provincial Market Management Department held a conference to summarize the work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Comrade Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the General Department of Market Management, attended and directed the conference.

In 2024, the Provincial Market Management Department promptly implemented the directions of the Central Government as well as the province on professional activities of market inspection and control in the province. The whole province inspected 1,174 cases, detected and handled 1,068 cases/1,068 subjects with 1,212 violations, and imposed a total fine of over 28 billion VND. Of which, the administrative fine was nearly 12 billion VND; the value of destroyed goods was nearly 12 billion VND; the value of auctioned goods was over 4 billion VND; the actual budget revenue was nearly 14 billion VND.

The whole sector actively and proactively carried out specialized inspection functions, periodic inspection plans, and thematic inspections with high results. Coordination with functional forces was regularly deployed, promptly detecting, preventing, arresting, and handling smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across the border, contributing to maintaining economic security and social order and safety. Propaganda and dissemination of laws to organizations and individuals doing business in the area were given attention and promoted. The work of receiving citizens, receiving, classifying, and handling complaints and denunciations as well as resolving complaints and denunciations under the authority was highly appreciated by public opinion.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the General Department of Market Management, highly appreciated the results achieved by the Provincial Market Management Department in 2024, excellently completing the assigned plans, tasks and targets, including exceeding the budget revenue. Implementing the tasks of 2025, the Provincial Market Management Department continues to thoroughly grasp and promptly and effectively implement the directions of the Central Government as well as the province, especially the directions in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Do a good job of forecasting the market situation and violations to have appropriate solutions. Strengthen the management of the area, regularly review and update the database of business organizations and individuals into the INS data management system. Proactively coordinate with functional forces to strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with legal regulations of traders, organizations and individuals participating in e-commerce activities in the area, ensuring timely detection and handling of violations of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods on e-commerce platforms. Thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the directions of the Central Government and the province on the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus. Build a team of cadres and market controllers in a formal and modern direction, and carry out well the work of planning, training, mobilizing and rotating to ensure publicity, democracy and transparency.
