According to the District Party Committee's report on the implementation of tasks in 2023, 10/15 targets set by the District Party Committee have been achieved and exceeded the plan. The total production value is estimated at nearly 3,000 billion VND, of which the structure of agriculture - forestry - fishery reached more than 1,700 billion VND; construction industry reached 530 billion VND; total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached more than 1,160 billion VND... Average income reached more than 30 million VND/person/year. There have been many changes in the cultural and social fields; social security is ensured. Implementing Project No. 09 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, up to now, Dien Bien Dong district has completed 100% of the houses eligible for support. In addition, Dien Bien Dong district focused on calling for socialization to build and put into use 35 village and hamlet cultural houses, bringing the total number of villages with cultural houses to 194/198 villages... During the year, the district Party Committee admitted more than 250 party members, bringing the total number of party members to nearly 4,000.

The conference unanimously approved the Resolution of the District Party Executive Committee on a number of key tasks in 2024 such as: Budget revenue in the area reaching 26 billion VND; reducing the poverty rate by 5.5% or more; striving for 2 more communes to basically meet new rural standards and 100% of villages to have national grid electricity...

At the conference, the Party Executive Committee of Dien Bien Dong district announced decisions on personnel work for a number of key positions, such as: Vice Chairman of the District People's Council; Head of the District Party Committee's Organization Committee; Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Committee.
