On December 27, in Hanoi, the Council meeting to evaluate and recognize the Center for creative design, introduction, promotion and sale of OCOP products, craft villages associated with tourism in districts and towns in Hanoi in 2023 took place.

Implementing Plan No. 49/KH-UBND dated February 10, 2023 of the Hanoi People's Committee on developing a Center for creative design, introducing, promoting and selling OCOP products, craft villages associated with tourism in districts and towns in Hanoi in 2023, Decision No. 6385/QD-UBND dated December 14, 2023 of the City People's Committee promulgating a set of criteria and procedures for evaluating, guiding and developing a model of a Center for creative design, introducing, promoting and selling OCOP products, craft villages associated with tourism at the commune level (according to a decentralized model) in the city.
On December 19, 2023, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade issued Document No. 6450/SCT-TTKC on coordination in implementing the assessment, guidance, and development of the model of the Center for Creative Design, Introduction, Promotion and Sales of OCOP Products, Craft Villages Associated with Commune-level Tourism in the City. The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade assigned the Center for Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting to organize guidance for participating units to assess and recognize the model of the Center for Creative Design, Introduction, Promotion and Sales of OCOP Products, Craft Villages Associated with Commune-level Tourism in 2023 (Commune-level Design Center model in 2023).
From December 19, 2023 to December 21, 2023, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting organized the implementation of guidance and consultation on preparing dossiers to participate in the assessment and recognition of the Commune-level Design Center model in 2023 at 10 locations including: Bat Trang pottery village, Bat Trang commune, Gia Lam district; Ha Thai lacquer craft village, Duyen Thai commune, Thuong Tin district; Chuyen My mother-of-pearl inlay craft village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district;
Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo craft village, Phu Nghia commune, Chuong My district; Chung cake and day cake craft village, Tranh Khuc village, Duyen Ha commune, Thanh Tri district; Son Dong bronze craft village, Son Dong commune, Hoai Duc district; Thiet Ung fine art wood craft village, Van Ha commune, Dong Anh district; Trach Xa ao dai sewing village, Hoa Lam commune, Ung Hoa district; Van Phuc silk weaving village, Van Phuc ward, Ha Dong district; Kim Lan ceramics craft village, Kim Lan commune, Gia Lam district.
Up to now, the Council's professional support department has received dossiers from 10 participating units to evaluate and recognize the Commune-level Design Center Model in 2023 at the above locations.
After reviewing, the profiles of 10 registered units were all valid and qualified to conduct the assessment and recognition of the Commune Design Center model in 2023. The specialized department assisting the Council compared, analyzed, and assessed the authenticity of the 10 profiles and sent the profiles and preliminary assessment results to the Council members. Accordingly, out of the 10 recognition profiles, 5 profiles scored from 80 to under 90 points and 5 profiles scored from 70 to under 80 points.
After the meeting, the Council unanimously proposed that the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade recognize the model of the Center for creative design, introduction, promotion and sale of OCOP products, craft villages associated with commune-level tourism in 2023 for 10 units, of which 4 units achieved the 4-star model and 6 units achieved the 3-star model.
