US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on September 11 announced $717 million in new economic and humanitarian aid for Ukraine, including money to support the country's energy sector amid Russia's attacks on its infrastructure.

Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Blinken announced that in the above aid package, there is 325 million USD to support Ukraine to create new energy sources, 290 million USD in humanitarian aid, of which a part is used to provide safe drinking water, and 102 million USD for mine clearance work.

Also in Kiev, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his British counterpart David Lammy declared they would support Ukraine until it won against Russia.

The statement was made during a rare joint visit by the two countries’ foreign ministers to Kiev. During a trilateral meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriiy Sybiha at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on September 11, Secretary of State Blinken stressed that the visit sends “a strong message that we are committed to helping Ukraine achieve success, to winning, to helping Ukraine stand on its own two feet, militarily , economically and diplomatically.”
