On December 29, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang, the People's Council of this province issued a resolution stipulating the tuition support level for the 2023-2024 school year for preschool children, public secondary school students and continuing education students in the area.
The highest tuition support level for the 2023-2024 school year for students of all levels in Hau Giang is 254,000 VND/student/month.
Accordingly, the tuition support level in urban areas (including wards and towns in districts, towns and cities) for preschool level is 222,000 VND/ student /month, primary and secondary school is 254,000 VND/ student /month, continuing education at secondary and high school levels is 249,000 VND/ student /month, continuing education at high school level is 234,000 VND/ student /month.
For rural areas (including communes in districts, towns, and cities), the tuition support level for preschool is 70,000 VND/ student /month, primary and secondary school is 75,000 VND/ student /month, continuing education at secondary school is 55,000 VND/ student /month, high school is 174,000 VND, continuing education at high school is 144,000 VND/ student /month.
Meanwhile, the tuition support level for the 2023-2024 school year for ethnic minority areas is stipulated as follows: preschool 17,000 VND/ student /month, primary and secondary school 22,000 VND/ student /month, continuing education at secondary school level is 2,000 VND/ student /month, high school 70,000 VND/ student /month, continuing education at high school level is 40,000 VND/ student /month.
The Resolution of the People's Council of Hau Giang province clearly states that the tuition support level for primary school is also the basis for tuition support for private primary school students who are eligible for tuition exemption and reduction policies according to regulations.
