Van Lam Fatherland Front organizes the first district-level congress in Hung Yen

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Hung Yen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Quach Thi Huong presented a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the Van Lam District Fatherland Front Committee.

Attending the Congress were Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Yen province; Ms. Quach Thi Huong, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province, and 163 delegates representing all walks of life of Van Lam district's people.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Van Lam district has propagated and mobilized people to support and contribute over 500 billion VND, donated 5,800m2 of land and 7,540 working days to build new rural areas. Up to now, the whole district has 8/10 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, of which 3 communes have met the model new rural standards; 19 residential areas have met the model new rural residential areas; the rate of cultural villages and neighborhoods reached 100%; 92.4% "Cultural families"; the poverty rate has decreased to 0.8%.

The Fatherland Front at all levels has stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to effectively implement the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. It has mobilized support of over 5.5 billion VND and goods and necessities for epidemic prevention and control worth over 2 billion VND. The Fatherland Front at all levels has effectively carried out propaganda and mobilized people to agree on site clearance to implement projects, focusing on the Ring Road 4 project - Hanoi Capital Region.

Up to now, the People have handed over 38.74/39.07 hectares of agricultural land (reaching 99.2%); relocated 797/818 graves (reaching 97.6%); completed compensation plans and provided land support to relocate 4/4 electric poles... The Fatherland Front at all levels actively, proactively and effectively participated in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, with a voter turnout rate of over 97%.

With the results achieved in the term 2019 - 2024, the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Lam district was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province; the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee presented a Banner with the content " Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development ".

During the past term, 64 individuals were awarded the Medal "For the cause of Great National Unity" , 12 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; 23 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 15 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee...

The Congress proposed 6 Action Programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Lam district for the 2024 - 2029 term, including: Strengthening propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, strengthening social consensus, promoting the strength of the Great National Unity bloc; Improving the quality and effectiveness of supervision and social criticism, promoting democracy, participating in Party and State building; Encouraging people of all walks of life to compete and be creative in effectively implementing campaigns and emulation movements; Expanding and improving the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs activities; Continuing to innovate the organizational apparatus, improving the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels; Building a united, consensual residential area; security, safety, prosperity and happiness.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Quach Thi Huong, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province, commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Lam district in the past term.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024 - 2029 term focus on implementing the following tasks: Innovating propaganda and mobilization work, gathering people of all walks of life, promoting the strength of the Great National Unity bloc to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congress and the Fatherland Front Congress at all levels.

Effectively participate in the preparation and organization of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. Grasp the aspirations and wishes of the people; perform well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people; the Vietnam Fatherland Front must be a place where the people trust and entrust their thoughts and wishes.

The Standing Committee of the District Fatherland Front Committee advises the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to carry out two strategic breakthrough tasks: Improving the effectiveness of supervision and social criticism activities, participating in giving opinions on Party building and government building of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Hung Yen province according to Resolution No. 44-NQ/TU, dated December 26, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Improving the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Front Work Committee of residential areas.

Improve the quality of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, associated with building self-management models in residential communities . Regularly consolidate and improve the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, People's Inspectorates of communes and towns, and Front Working Committees. Direct the activities of the Fatherland Front to the grassroots and residential areas with the motto " wherever there are people, there must be a team of Front cadres" .

The Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested that the official delegates attending the Congress thoroughly grasp the directives of the Party Committees at all levels and the instructions of the Standing Committees of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels on personnel work, uphold the spirit of responsibility, democratic consultation, and elect the new term District Fatherland Front Committee to ensure the quantity, standards, structure, and composition.

The delegation to attend the 16th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Hung Yen province must be truly representative of the Great National Unity of the district, with the capacity to mobilize and direct in practice, and the ability to participate and actively contribute to the success of the 16th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Hung Yen province, term 2024 - 2029.

In the spirit of Solidarity, Democracy, Innovation and Development, the Congress elected 47 members to join the Van Lam District Fatherland Front Committee for the 25th term, 2024 - 2029; and elected 16 delegates to attend the 16th Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Fatherland Front.

At the first conference, the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Lam district, term XXV, consulted and elected Mr. Ton Ngoc Chuan, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Lam district, term XXIV, to be re-elected as Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Lam district, term XXV, term 2024 - 2029.
