On the occasion of the New Year 2025, preparing to welcome the traditional Lunar New Year of the nation, on the afternoon of January 7, General Secretary To Lam and the Central Working Delegation visited and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province.
The delegation included comrades: Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee Office; a number of Party Central Committee members, representatives of central and local departments, ministries, branches.

According to the report of Hung Yen province, in 2024, the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province made efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, taking advantage of opportunities to achieve encouraging and quite comprehensive development achievements in all fields.
The work of Party building and rectification and the political system, socio-economic development continued to be promoted, with many positive changes; effectively implementing Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee in conjunction with Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Conclusion No. 01 KL/TW of the Politburo on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle".
The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, and Party committees at all levels in the entire Party organization regularly innovate leadership and direction methods in a direction that closely follows the practical situation of the locality; continue to streamline the organization and apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently; streamline the payroll in conjunction with restructuring the team of cadres, civil servants, and public employees, and build a team of cadres at all levels to ensure quality, efficiency, and on schedule.
The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and Party committees at all levels focus on leading, directing, and implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units to ensure compliance with Central regulations and local practical situations.
In 2024, most socio-economic indicators will reach or exceed the set targets. GRDP growth rate is estimated to increase by 7.7%, GRDP per capita is 121.3 million VND; budget revenue is estimated at 40,114 billion VND; socio-economic infrastructure, especially the transport system, is invested synchronously; the construction of advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas has achieved positive results (100% of communes meet advanced new rural standards; over 30% of communes meet model new rural standards). Social security is guaranteed, people's material and spiritual life, social welfare continues to improve...
Soon become a province with fast and sustainable development
Visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province, General Secretary To Lam sent his warm greetings, sincere regards and best wishes to the leaders of the Party, State, leaders and former leaders of Hung Yen province through the periods, veteran revolutionaries, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the armed forces and all cadres, soldiers and people of Hung Yen province.
2025 is the final year of implementing the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021 - 2025 and the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020 - 2025 term. The General Secretary emphasized that the Party Committee needs to have a more correct and deeper understanding of the general situation and context; clearly identify the potential and advantages of the locality in order to set goals, requirements, select key tasks and breakthroughs to focus on leadership and direction, creating new and stronger changes in socio-economic development, building a clean and strong Party and political system.
The provincial Party Committee needs to continue to lead and direct the urgent, drastic and effective implementation of the restructuring of the political system at the provincial and district levels to be "streamlined - compact - strong - efficient - effective - efficient", in accordance with the policies and orientations of the Central Government, in accordance with the practical situation of the locality. Pay attention to resolving regimes and policies, and well implement political and ideological work for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers. Continue to innovate working methods, practices and styles associated with administrative reform, promote the application of information technology in management and operation.
The provincial Party Committee focuses on leading the promotion of socio-economic development; ensuring local defense and military; maintaining political security, social order and safety, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
The province urgently concretizes the Planning of Hung Yen province for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 according to Decision No. 489/QD-TTg dated October 6, 2024 of the Prime Minister. Improve the quality of universal education, protection, care and improvement of people's health. Synchronously and effectively implement social security policies, pay attention to the lives of policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, the poor, workers, vulnerable groups and strive to have no more poor households.
The General Secretary believes that the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province will successfully implement and exceed the targets and tasks set by the 20th Provincial Party Congress, so that Hung Yen will soon become a province with rapid and sustainable development, a modern industrial province, with an economic scale and development level among the leading groups in the country; with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system; sustainable economic and social development following the green transformation trend based on the development of a circular economy and green economy; and the material and spiritual life of the people will be improved.
By 2050, Hung Yen will become a centrally-governed city; a smart, beautiful, civilized, cultured city, rich in cultural identity, fully promoting the core values of ancient Pho Hien culture; a livable place in the Red River Delta, a connecting center between localities in the region and the whole country.
