To enhance the protection of marine ecosystems and coral reefs, artificial reefs have been released around the world in Cat Ba, Nha Trang, Con Dao, Ca Mau, Ninh Thuan, Quang Ngai, and Binh Dinh.
Artificial reefs are technical solutions dropped on the seabed to enhance and supplement habitats for seafood species from fish, shrimp, to corals and seaweeds to live and grow, so they have great significance in protecting and developing marine biodiversity.
In addition, artificial reefs help change the shape of waterfalls (diving, recreational fishing, etc.), create habitats, prevent erosion, the destruction of storms and waves, and prevent overexploitation.
Materials used to build reefs are often sustainable, environmentally friendly materials, such as non-toxic concrete.
TDG Group, the investor of The Maris Vung Tau, will develop an artificial coral reef garden in the Chi Linh sea area, the coastal area south of Nghinh Phong Cape (Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province).
According to experts, artificial reefs are not only used as habitats for marine life and to increase biodiversity, but some projects have also used artificial reefs for other purposes such as accretion, beach creation, wave energy dissipation, and coastal erosion prevention.
It is known that the Chi Linh sea area, the coastal area south of Nghinh Phong cape (Vung Tau city, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) will be planted with artificial coral, this will help protect and regenerate aquatic resources, combine the establishment of a co-management model in protecting aquatic resources and developing scuba diving models, high-class marine sports service models, and converting new occupations for coastal fishermen in Vung Tau city.
Through the process of monitoring and evaluating the current status of the Chi Linh sea area (Ba Ria-Vung Tau), TDG Group has proposed an area for releasing artificial reefs, thereby attracting marine life to reside, enhancing the cleaning of the marine environment, organizing routes and tours for diving to see corals, sea fishing, etc.
When completed, The Maris Vung Tau will be the first place where visitors can participate in diving to see coral and diverse marine ecosystems right in the city center...
In addition, the project also integrates many other types of tourism and entertainment associated with the sea such as: flyboard, cloudsurf, jetski, sup rowing, and jet skiing for tourists.
According to the investor TDG Group, being entrusted with the responsibility of piloting and developing a healthy “coral garden” is proof of the fresh air quality and clean sea in the Chi Linh area in general and The Maris Vung Tau in particular.
