Currently, the issue that parents of the American International Primary, Secondary and High School Vietnam (AISVN International School) and the public are concerned about is the financial situation as well as the restructuring for this school to operate.
Negotiating with investors
According to the report submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the school's operations, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said it had held a working session on the restructuring of the American International Education Joint Stock Company AIS (investor of AISVN School).
The department's leaders said that last week the department held a working session with the board of directors of AIS American International Education Joint Stock Company and representatives of DMH Capital Group with the participation of relevant departments on the restructuring of AISVN School.
The Department also worked with the investor and the AISVN School Board on the restructuring of the American International Education Joint Stock Company on April 12.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the morning of April 19, a representative of the interdisciplinary working group said: "DMH Capital Group plans to invest in restructuring AISVN School. This is an emerging factor and the possibility of participating in restructuring AISVN School. AIS Company is negotiating to restructure the unit with a new investor."
How will the school be restructured?
Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut Em - Chairwoman of the AISVN School Board - has just continued to send an open letter of thanks, stating that as of April 16, 2024, the bank account jointly owned by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City - AISVN School and supervised by representatives of parents has recorded a total of support revenue and other fees of more than 30.6 billion VND.
The school commits that when implementing the restructuring plan, this amount will be refunded by the school upon request of the parents. The original confirmation of the parents' previous contributions will be sent to the parents as soon as possible.
However, according to parents, they have not yet received any official information from AISVN School about the new investor.
"What we are most concerned about is the new investor's capacity and how he will participate in restructuring the school. The interdisciplinary working group and the school board need to inform parents about this issue soon," many parents suggested.
The representative of the interdisciplinary working group said that in addition to DMH Capital Group, there are likely other investors planning to invest in restructuring AISVN School.
