Hai Duong Newspaper flies flags at half-mast from the morning of July 20

At the Hai Duong Newspaper headquarters, on the morning of July 20, the Party flag and the national flag were lowered to 2/3 of the height of the flagpole, tied neatly, each flag accompanied by a black mourning ribbon.

Hyundai Kefico Company, a Korean enterprise in Dai An Industrial Park (Hai Duong City) also flew the flag at half-mast from July 20.

On July 20, many agencies, units and businesses prepared and practiced flying flags at half-mast. On July 21, in Hai Duong, more units flew flags at half-mast.

This is an act of respect and condolences for the great contributions to the country and the world of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

According to the special announcement of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and his family, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Central Military Commission passed away at 13:38 on July 19, 2024 (ie June 14, Giap Thin year), at the 108 Central Military Hospital (Hanoi), at the age of 80. His passing is a great loss to the Party, the State, our people and his family.

The funeral of comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held with the ceremony of National Mourning. During the two days of National Mourning (July 25, 2024 and July 26, 2024), agencies, offices, and public places will fly flags at half-mast, and no public entertainment activities will be organized.

Flags are flown at half-mast to pay respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong's coffin will lie in state at the National Funeral Home, 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. The visitation will begin from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 25, 2024 and from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 26, 2024.

The memorial service for comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 26, 2024 at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. The burial ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi.
