Previously, on the evening of November 21, the Gianh Port Border Guard Station of the Quang Binh Border Guard received a report from Mr. Hoang Chi Cuong, in Quang Minh commune, Ba Don town, the owner and captain of fishing boat QB 98179TS with 4 crew members on their way to sea for production.
When reaching the area near buoy number 0, about 2 nautical miles from shore, the rudder slipped and the ship could not be controlled. The ship dropped anchor to handle the situation. However, the rear of the rudder was damaged, water flooded the ship, the ship owner requested assistance.

By the morning of November 22, this unit had mobilized the QB 98789TS ship, captained by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Canh, along with 4 fishermen and 12 officers and soldiers of the Border Guard to help pull the QB 98179TS ship safely ashore.
