Police said the couple’s home was searched Wednesday as part of the investigation. Kafle Bhatt was last seen on July 27 at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.
Investigators executed 10 search warrants and conducted “hundreds of interviews related to this case,” Manassas Park Police Chief Mario Lugo said at a news conference.
When asked about the suspect in the disappearance, Chief Lugo said her husband was “the center of attention and everyone knows it,” adding that he was not cooperating with police.

In an interview with local news site WUSA last week, Naresh Bhatt said he was worried about his wife's disappearance and that this was not the first time she had gone missing.
Madan Uprety, president of the Nepalese American Community Center in Manassas, the hometown of the missing wife, told authorities that they had set up a line of communication with police and authorities to keep them updated on the investigation.
A friend set up a Facebook group on August 10 to “search together.” A GoFundMe has also been set up to help with the search for Kafle Bhatt.
