(Dan Tri) - Due to inappropriate comments from the homeroom teacher, 34 teachers were mobilized to "transfer" (transfer scores, sign) all scores and results to new transcripts for these 2 students.
The incident happened at Nguyen Cong Tru High School, Ho Chi Minh City. Two students of class 12A9 last school year, which was homeroom teacher KM, HG and BT, had their report cards changed last June.
The old transcripts of the two students were sealed and kept at the school (Photo: Hong Hoa).
At that time, many teachers of Nguyen Cong Tru High School received notice from the school to contact the Education Department to complete the academic records for HG and BT.
It is known that there were 34 teachers who taught these two students in 3 school years (from 10 to 12).
That was the time when 12th grade students were preparing for the high school graduation exam and submitting their transcripts for university admission, so there were rumors about… editing student transcripts.
Regarding this incident, Mr. Phan Ho Hai, Principal of Nguyen Cong Tru High School, shared that it originated from the homeroom teacher's comments on the report cards that were not in line with the learning abilities of the two students. These comments could be detrimental to the students' learning process at higher levels.
After receiving the petition from the parent, the school board reviewed and professionally evaluated the comment and found it was not appropriate to the student's learning ability.
The school's board of directors met and unanimously decided to "transfer" all scores and results for the three years of study of these two students from the old transcripts to the new transcripts.
To replace the transcript, the school asked the subject teachers and homeroom teachers of the student's three years of study to "transfer" the scores from the old transcript to the new transcript.
The homeroom teacher personally brought the two students' transcripts to the homes of the two retired teachers to ask them to sign and confirm their transcripts.

The leaders of Nguyen Cong Tru High School affirmed that the school followed the correct procedures, and had relevant departments of the school confirm and work together.
There was no change in the scores of the two students in their 3 years of high school or chasing after achievements. The change here comes from the homeroom teacher's comments that were not appropriate to the students' learning ability, the school felt it was necessary to record the comments in the student's report card to ensure the students' rights.
