A chemical storage company in Hai Phong caught fire.

On the evening of November 26, Hai Phong City authorities informed that after more than 2 hours of actively fighting the fire, the authorities had extinguished the fire that occurred at the facility rented by Nachuan Vietnam Co., Ltd., preventing explosive chemicals from causing environmental damage.

The fire broke out in the early afternoon of November 26, sending up a column of black smoke.

Specifically, at around 1 p.m. the same day, after receiving information about a fire at a company in Thai Son commune, Center 114 dispatched 2 fire trucks from Fire Prevention Team Area 2 along with fire trucks from An Lao and Tien Lang District Police, and Kien An District Police to the scene of the fire.

Fire and Rescue forces were present at the scene to extinguish the fire.

When the fire department of area 2 arrived, fire and black smoke covered most of the area in the factory, which was about 1,500 square meters wide.

Authorities quickly deployed water and foam sprays. By 2:40 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control. The force continued to spray water to cool it down and completely extinguished the fire at 3:25 p.m.

At 3:25 p.m. on November 26, the fire was completely extinguished.

"Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties. Regarding property, 3/4 of the factory roof collapsed. The authorities did not allow the explosive chemicals to cause damage to the surrounding residential areas and the environment," the authorities informed. The burning chemicals were mainly toluene, plastic beads, glue, rubber, etc.

The place where the fire broke out was rented by Nachuan Vietnam Company. Previously, in November 2022, Quang Vinh Production and Trading Company Limited operated in the field of shoe tip sewing but had no orders and requested to temporarily suspend operations. In July 2023, Quang Minh Company rented to Nachuan Vietnam Company Limited (the facility reported that it was rented orally without presenting a lease contract).

The cause of the fire is being clarified by authorities and damage is being estimated.
