MobiFone exceeded the 2024 plan
2024 is a challenging year for the Vietnamese economy in general and the telecommunications industry in particular. Traditional telecommunications services have witnessed a sharp decline in the number of users while revenue from new digital services has not been able to compensate for that decline. At the same time, the 5G wave has emerged, forcing telecommunications businesses, including MobiFone, to invest in technology transformation. With the spirit of turning difficulties into opportunities, along with the spirit of unanimous efforts of the entire system and the attention and close direction of the leaders of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation has recorded many impressive achievements in 2024. Exceeding the 2024 plan The two most important targets in 2024, profit and payment to the state budget, have been exceeded by MobiFone. In particular, pre-tax profit is estimated to exceed 20.1% of the plan, and state budget contribution exceeds 56.7% of the assigned plan. Both of the above indicators have increased compared to the same period in 2023, demonstrating the Corporation's tireless efforts in stopping the decline, gradually recovering and growing in the context of many market difficulties. MobiFone's digital service sector also witnessed strong growth in many products and services. Notably, the MobiFone Meet platform grew by 1050%, Cloud service increased by 312%, mobiAgri service increased by 49% and MobiFone invoice increased by 58%. 5G breakthrough, expanding cooperation The most prominent mark in 2024 of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation is the decision to upgrade and convert to 5G technology. After a testing period in many provinces and cities across the country, and winning the auction for the right to use the 3800 - 3900 MHz frequency band, MobiFone quickly built and deployed a 5G development plan, ensuring coverage of all activities from product preparation, searching for potential customers, consolidating the distribution channel system to operations, engineering, divided into many stages corresponding to business scenarios in each locality. In order to seek and exchange experiences in innovation, application and deployment of advanced 5G networks, MobiFone has recently expanded cooperation with 11 comprehensive strategic partners/major partners according to 15 proposed cooperation programs under five pillars such as Ericsson, Sensetime, Nokia, F-secure, VNPT... At the same time, the Corporation also attended prestigious telecommunications and technology conferences and exhibitions in the world, to seek cooperation opportunities with leading technology corporations and network operators. The cooperation not only helps MobiFone improve its technological capacity, expand its service ecosystem, and enhance customer experience, but also contributes to affirming MobiFone's position in the international market.
5G MobiFone will soon cover the whole country
Attacking new spaces with the spirit of "start-up" In 2024, MobiFone continues to "attack new spaces," affirming its determination to transform from a traditional telecommunications network to a dynamic and modern digital technology corporation. With the spirit of "start-up", the Corporation has launched a series of breakthrough digital products and services, building a MobiFone digital ecosystem that fully meets the needs of a digital society. As part of the new space development strategy, MobiFone has deployed the MobiFone IoT SmartHome service, providing users with many outstanding utilities, especially the ability to manage remotely to ensure safety and save electricity effectively. The platform and device management/control applications are operated and stored on the MobiFone Cloud infrastructure. Also in the past year, MobiFone has had initial success in researching, deploying and building an AI Platform with seven outstanding solutions, including: Anti-facial fraud solution in financial transactions; Enterprise virtual assistant platform; Transaction office monitoring solution; Smart parking solution; Security monitoring solution - Building; Security monitoring solution - Industrial park; Traffic monitoring solution. Also in 2024, MobiFone was licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications to trade in network information security products and services and to deploy network security services. Thanks to its determination and continuous efforts, at the ceremony to announce products achieving the Vietnam National Brand, MobiFone was honored for the third consecutive time with five breakthrough product brands: MobiFone telecommunications services, mobiEdu, ClipTV, mobiAgri and MobiFone digital platform. In particular, the mobiEdu online education ecosystem and MobiFone Meet online meeting platform were recognized by the Ministry of Information and Communications as National Potential Digital Platforms, supporting the successful implementation of major conferences of the Party and State with tens of thousands of connection points across the country. With stable signals and high security, MobiFone Meet not only meets strict technical requirements but also affirms MobiFone's position in providing potential national digital technology solutions, contributing to promoting comprehensive digital transformation.
