(HNMO) - From tomorrow (May 29), Hanoi and the northern and north-central provinces and cities will enter a heat wave with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some places higher than 38 degrees Celsius.
The Northern Delta Hydrometeorological Station said that due to the influence of the low pressure area in the West that tends to develop and expand to the Southeast, tomorrow (May 29) the intensity of sunlight in Hanoi will increase, with some places experiencing hot weather; the highest temperature is commonly 34-36 degrees Celsius, especially in the southern part of the city, it will be 33-35 degrees Celsius.
On May 30, the heat wave spread to the entire city of Hanoi, with temperatures increasing by about 1 degree Celsius compared to the previous day, with the highest common temperature being 35-37 degrees Celsius. The time of heat wave, with temperatures higher than 35 degrees Celsius, is from 11am to 5pm.
The remaining provinces and cities in the North, on May 29, will be hot with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places higher than 36 degrees Celsius. By May 30, the North and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will be hot, some places will be extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places higher than 38 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological and Hydrological Agency forecasts that on May 31, the North will experience widespread heat, with severe heat in the Northwest provinces. From June 1 to 7, the North will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing moderate to heavy rain, and temperatures will drop by 1-3 degrees Celsius.
